Success for Karate Wales in Sheffield and Dudley

Karate Wales was represented by strong squads at major tournaments in the midlands and the North on the weekend of 16th and 17th of February.

The AMA International Open has long been one of Britain's highest quality and most prestigious events, showcasing talent from across Britain and indeed Europe and beyond!

The AMA Has in recent years departed from the English Karate Federation, and therefore due to the constraints of the World Karate Federations' infamous statute 21.9 many of the current squad have never had a chance to attend.

Of course with the independence that Karate Wales offers, members are once again free to attend and so a squad travelled to The Ponds Forge International Arena in Sheffield to attend, witnessing a very high standard where medals were very hard to come by and when won very well deserved.

Meanwhile the freedom that very few Governing bodies across the World can offer, saw an equally strong squad attend our old friend Paul Campbell's UK Open in Dudley.
