AMA International Open February 2016

AMA International Open February 2016

The AMA International Open, held over the weekend of 27th/28th February at Sheffield’s Ponds Forge International Arena, once again confirmed it’s reputation as one of Britain’s biggest and highest quality events, with six areas in constant use on each day. Karate Wales attended with a strong squad and emerged with spectacular results, winning no fewer than eighteen Gold medals, five Silvers and eight Bronzes, second on the medal table only to the hosts the AMA, who of course are a huge group, made up of very many organisations and had a squad many times our size. Huge congratulations then to all competitors who were part of our successful squad, to their club coaches who are supporting Karate Wales and of course a big thank you to the parents who again gave up their weekend for the sake of the enjoyment and benefits their children are enjoying as part of Karate Wales.
